Cousin's Visit April 2010

Some of our favorite things

Shane and Jackson have lots of favorite things that they like to do or play with. Some of them include playing with the TV remote control- in fact we can't turn off the word supplement at the bottom of the screen for the hearing impaired- the benefit of that? when they some how turn off the TV volume we are still able to watch TV!

Climbing the stairs- if i say want to go upstairs? They both run to the gate and yell with joy. They like to stop at the window half way up and say hello to the outside.

When we get upstairs? They like to chase each other around the chair, Jackson especially likes this. They used to crawl around the chair but recently they started walking- they laugh so hard it is amazing to listen to them!

Of course they like the mommy and daddy time- this is when they crawl onto your lap for a hug and don't leave- we all love this.

At a quick glance these are some of their favorite things. I love you with all my heart and then some Shane and Jackson- you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cousins Visit

So the kids came to visit and we had a blast. Zach graciously pushed Shane and Jackson around on thier trucks every day by the last day he was running with the boys and pushing them over little bumps. Katie and Abby loved to feed and hold the boys. At times it was difficult to distinguish who was Shane vs. Jackson- Auntie who is that? was a common question. The Jack-in -the boxes were another great hit for the boys and for Zach. But I don't think anything could top Zach's superhero imitations and his use of the recordable play cell phone. Katie did a great job playing with snowball and by the end of thier trip snowball was sitting on her lap! he loves Katie. Can't wait to see everyone again in June. Lots of Love!

MFA

Last fall we brought the boys to the MFA- we saw an Egyptian exhibit; the boys couldn't walk yet so they stayed in the stroller (thankfully).

Children's Museum

Katie, Abby and Zach came to Boston to visit during their April break. With 5 kids in the house it was lots of fun! We visited A. Val, went to the Children's museum and played at the park a lot. Here are some photos from the Children's museum. Shane liked the construction site and climbing through the tunnels, Jackson liked climbing on everything and listening to the Spanish sing-a-long session.

Boxes

What child doesn't love to play in a box? That rule is certainly no different in our house. Jackson and Shane love it when a diapers.com order comes and they can play in the box, or as we call it- "an office". Everything was fine and fun until they figured out that you can flip the box over and jump! which is fun until someone falls on their head- daddy has no problem with the jumping but mommy gets a little nervous. Here's to you boys!

Our Chair

We have a yellow rocking chair in the boys bedroom that they love to play in. Just one year ago I took one of my favorite photos to date of the boys on Easter- they wore the white knit outfits. Here they are one year later and much bigger sitting in the same spot- my little boys.
