Everyday life with the boys

So nothing too new and exciting is going on this week- maybe because it has been 90 degrees outside? !? But regardless of the temperature the boys still love to play outside and on the porch. They are busy little guys out their with their poppers from Auntie and picking up dirt who could ask for anything more? BIRDS? Yes, Shane loves it outside because he can look and listen to birds as much as he likes and yell Birr and he waves his little hand to them.

Mr. Potato Head is a new favorite- they can play with all of those pieces for 10 minutes non stop! And that is a long time in toddler world (at least at our house). Of course the puzzles, they love puzzles and everyday we play puzzles- morning, afternoon and night! Brushing teeth is still a big favorite but they only like to run around with the toothbrush- when i try to get them to really brush their teeth, they freak and don't like it at all.

Life is never dull with our two munchkins or pork chops as daddy calls them.

Playing in the yard

We have a great little yard at our house and the boys love to play in it. Especially when the grass is long because they get to rip all of the grass out of the ground and bring it to Mommy. Here is a photo of the boys (Shane on left, Jackson on the right) in the yard last week.

Random Photos

We visited a farm and here are two photos of the boys wearing their shades at the farm. Some funny faces the boys make and last but not least what photo collection would be complete without a spaghetti face photo?

Going to Bed

Shane and Jackson are now 18 months old and since they are able to go up stairs by themselves they love "going to bed". All I have to say is it's time to go to bed and they both run to the gate eager to go up the stairs. Jackson likes to touch everything in the hallway first- the statue, the chair, the door knob, the statue then the chair and the doorknob again and then he goes up. They both stop for a break to look out the window and then we continue. After we are in our PJs the boys are at the bathroom door rubbing their teeth- they want to brush their teeth so we brush teeth and then they want to comb their hair, so instead of walking around with toothbrushes they walk around with combs. We of course read lots of books and they go to the windows and yell out to anyone on the street- they literally shout- hey, ahh ahh, hee etc.

Tonight was a new experience though, we turned the fan on in the attic so the door to the ceiling was open and Jackson and Shane both repeatedly stood beneath the fan yelling with their arms up like they were praying to the "fan God". It was the joke of the evening and then they started making sneaker offerings to the fan god as well. I know it sounds goofy but if you were there to witness it you would be laughing about it also. Its sleepy time now = Shane gets his little duck and Jackson has the frog and off they go to sleep. You are both mommy's sun, moon and stars, we love you little guys!
