Misc.

Every night when Jackson gets into bed, he inevitably gets out of bed again, usually to say good night to daddy. This entails going into Daddy's room and saying Good Night Daddy, Sweet Dreams and shutting of the light.
Last night Jackson went into the bedroom and the lights were off and daddy wasn't there. Jackson opened the door- and said "oh, Daddy not here". and shut the door again.

Keith was thinking about his mom and got upset, Shane said, "Don't cry Daddy, i want you happy" and gave him a kiss.

Jackson was sitting with Nana and she had on a yellow sweater. Jackson said, yellow means slow down. And then when they were driving and Nana stepped on the break, Jackson said "wow Nana that was close".

Petting Zoo adventures

Today after our morning coffee and doughnuts with Grandpa Bill we adventured out to the Petting Zoo at the Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington. It was more than a petting zoo it was more like an old carnival.

Of course they had animals you could pet, goats, lamas, horses etc. You could sit on a pony for a photo or a ride, you could even ride the elephants! I think the boys favorite thing was the massive slide and popcorn! All in a days worth of fun.

It's bath time and I can hear the boys jumping and splashing in there, I better go check on daddy and his supervisory skills.

The Lonely Snowman

We have had a VERY Mild winter in Boston , we've had some cold days but only 2 days of snow. The boys really miss the snow, here is a picture of the lonely snowman they built with Trish that melted the same day.

Valentine's Day 2012

This is the first year that Jackson and Shane had actual friends to give valentine's to. Last year they received some from Early Intervention friends but this year they had school friends to give and receive from. They both received a lot of home made valentine's but by far thier favorite was the Spiderman Valentine with a kid's tatoo. They both gave our CARS valentine's (With tatoos as well).

They had some friends over and made cookies.

Jackson left, shane on the right.
Cookies- all decorated. Jackson and Shane decorated the green with sprinkles.

Sunny and COLD sunday

It is cold here in Boston this weekend, we were supposed to get a snow storm yesterday, but it resulted in nothing less than a few flurries. We'll have to wait for another day to build snowmen.

We had a lovely morning at home full of strawberries and blueberries for breakfast. What Sunday wouldn't be complete without a visit with Grandpa Bill- so we went out in the cold and visited with Grandpa. Visiting with Grandpa means playing ball out in the hall and searching for the kitty. The boys saw photos of Grandma and started asking where she was. We had lunch and then, we went to the fire house to visit Uncle Larry.

Both Shane and Jackson were a little shy at first but then they got into things - they sat in the fire trucks, blew the horn, flashed the lights and had a great time. What is a trip to the fire station without watching uncle Larry slide down the fireman's pole! it was great fun.

We had every intention of going to the Music School for an open house but the boys fell asleep in the car and were in no shape to go out in public so we spent the rest of the afternoon at home playing. Playing in the "basement" which is our bathroom on the second floor. The boys brought all of their toys into that bathroom to keep the crocodiles out and played in there for hours.

It is bath time now and I can hear the boys splashing away with daddy. Hopefully they will be sleepy and we will have a smooth bedtime. Here's to another fun weekend with the Bryant family!

Stairs

The stairs in our house are multi-functional. Of course they are stairs, they are a way to get up and down throughout the house but put your imagination cap on and the possibilities are endless. The stairs turn into an airplane very often but most recently the stairs have turned into a tree house. Yes, a tree house. I don't know where the boys even learned about tree houses but we have one- on our stairs.

Last night we played for a while in that tree house. Mommy had to stay put but the boys came and went  from the tree house- they of course went to work with their tool box- but they didn't know where they were working just that they were going to work. We had pizza, lots of pizza in the tree house and lots of smiles there as well.
