Last night closed the Belmont T-ball season. The boys got little medals for their participation and were very proud! Both Shane and Jackson wore their medals to bed and this morning still had them on while they had their juice! here are some quick photos of the season:

Summer Fun....

School is out- and our wonderful Belmont Cooperative Nursery School 3 day class has come to a close. Both Shane and Jackson had a wonderful year in the 3 day and we are grateful to Mrs. Rose and Miss. Erica for all the wonderful guidance they have provided over the year.

Both boys are continuing on their BCN journey next year and this summer with the June Bugs program. June Bugs is a 2 week summer camp and they play and get very dirty! Yesterday they went to the H.S. field and looked for a "golden shoe". Jackson found the shoe! But this is how he described the outing- Mommy you know Spot Pond where you and Nana took us? Well we didn't go there. We went to a stream and a big park and I found the golden shoe! Not sure what exactly it all entailed but Jackson found it none the less.

We had a wonderful fathers day- thank you to Daddy for being our Dad, chief wrestler, head Grill master and best parent helper in all of BCN (Among many other things). We went to Edaville Railroad to visit Thomas the Train on Fathers day and then and exciting day at the zoo! We also had a yummy spaghetti dinner at Nana's church- they boys made "Mud and rock soup" with some other kids at the church. It was an eventful weekend and enjoyed by all. Here are some of mommy's favorite photos!

Karate

Both Shane and Jackson have received thier yellow belt in Karate! On to session #2 this summer. Go boys!

June Bugs camp

School is over and the boys are now in "June Bugs" camp at school. 9-1pm and they eat lunch there. Both boys are having a blast! One day they came home covered in paint, another day in different clothes b/c there was a shaving cream fight! They make their own lunches and this morning Shane showed Nana exactly how to make the sandwich. He got everything out of the fridge on his own and then proceeded to make his sandwich- turkey and cheese with butter and he cut the sandwich on the diagonal and then put it away! Go Shane. Jackson usually makes his own lunch as well but for some reason, Jackson was a little grumpy this morning and he didn't feel like making his lunch.
However, Jackson was eager to make pancakes for breakfast with Nana.
Snowball got out this morning when Nana came in and Nana was trying to call snowball and Shane told Nana to clap your hands twice Nana and he will come. (That's what Trish does).

Games we play

It was raining today and today at school the boys learned (or it clicked in their brains) how to play duck duck goose. All evening we played Duck Duck Goose!

May 2013- Letter to Shane & Jackson

Dear Shane and Jackson-
Mommy is doing a major no no and writing one letter to both of you this month. I'm sorry but time has just gotten away from me this month and if I don't do this now, I fear I won't get a letter at all to you. So sorry in advance, I'll try never to do this again because you are your own people and we treat you as such as much as humanly possible!

March was a busy month for us. School is wrapping up as well as T-ball and karate will be coming to a close soon. You both have progressed really well at T-ball and karate but your favorite part about T-ball is still the playground (but I think I can say that for most of the kids on the team). Karate- Sense Joe does not let the parents in to watch any more and you do very well in class. You both are doing great!

We visited Auntie Val and Uncle Terry yesterday and while all you wanted to do was play outside (in the 95 degree heat), Uncle Terry had some good jokes for you. He played "Pay the toll" with his leg and you would laugh and crawl under or over his leg. And most notably, he played the missing finger joke on you. By now, you probably know that Uncle Terry only has half of one finger so he can play cool jokes with his fingers. He did the "my finger fell off joke" with you both yesterday and you were both really looking for the other part of his finger for a good 5 minutes! U. Terry told you it was in his pocket and he couldn't find it and that was that, but it was very funny to watch and listen to.

You are both early risers these days and very much into dunking what ever you have into your drink. Yesterday you were dunking Cheese Its into Grape Juice- yuck! but you found it very delicious.  Counting is coming along nicely and you both love to count everything. And every question is how many is that , how many is that....We are going to Ohio to visit your cousins in exactly one month! and we are all very excited for that ! Especially you both!

I love you with all my heart Jackson and Shane! You are mommy's sun, moon and stars.
Love always-
Mommy
