We went up to Maine to visit Mommy's friend Missy on Peaks Island for a weekend. The best part was the hotel pool and elevator. The boys like to hoist themselves up on the railings in the elevator for the 30 second ride. While we waited for the Ferry Shane and Jackson did some exploring down on the pier.

The ferry ride over was fine but coming back at the end of the day we had to fight our way through the crowd of drunken Regae Festival Goers to get on the boat. As always we had a great time.

Grandpa usually comes over on Sunday mornings and this week we all played a fierce game of monopoly! Shane bought lots of property and i think he even won the game. Jackson Green shirt, Shane blue.

This is one tired little guy- Shane conked out on the couch, notice wolfie on the floor beside him.

Treasure Hunting at Good Harbor Island with Uncle Dave
The Lilley's have been saying for a few years now that they wanted to do a treasure hunt for Shane and Jackson and this was the year. The boys went treasure hunting with Uncle Dave out on the island at Good Harbor Beach and found a treasure chest full of gold coins and rings! Shane wore his skull ring to school for a few days afterwards!
Mommy wasn't able to join the hunt b/c i was in Ohio visiting our cousins but wow did Shane and Jackson have a great time! They had to dig for the treasure by following a map and then they found the pirate flag and then the treasure chest! The main chest is grey with a big skull with light up eyes on the front and the floor boards of the chest come out and there is gold under there!
Shane next to the removable board treasure chest.
It just so happened that there were two chests so each of them got one. Above is Jackson holding onto his chest for dear life before he went to bed.

Labor Day Weekend 2015
We are back up in Maine for Labor Day weekend. Traffic was heavy coming here, it took 3 hours to make the drive. We spent yesterday at Crescent Beach in Maine and today we are headed over to Peaks Island for Missy and Eric's annual BBQ.
Telephone
Playing a mean game of Monopoly with Grandpa- Shane owned the most property and won.
Playing telephone with paper cups and string. The boys were determined that they could hear each other throughout the house.
1st Grade Wellington School
Shane and Jackson are officially in first grade- YIKES! where has the time gone.
Mommy had a big meeting at work so Daddy took them to school.
Here they are waiting to go into school and playing on the playground. My little boys are growing up!
Jackson is in Mrs. Nynagan's class and Shane has Mrs. Slatterly for 1st grade.

Payson Park never fails
This summer we visited Payson Park for the music festivals at night and a few times to play soccer etc. Shane and Jackson are now the big kids at Payson- here they are climbing trees and having big meetings on top of the structures.
This is Jackson alseep on the boat in Essex- don't really know how he could fall asleep as the sound of the motor was quite loud but he did.....
Our own aquarium
Camp is over and there just a few short days left before school started, the boys were at "Nana Camp". One day they visited the New England Aquarium and when the got home they made their own aquarium in a cooler and put play fish, boats etc. in there. They had a blast- made a mess but they had fun :-)
Essex....
We got down to Essex this summer at the end of August for a visit with Charlotte, Ted and Alex. We had a wonderful day full of a visit to crab island. Shane and Jackson had cousin Alex in the water fetching hermit crabs but we decided to let them go before we left the island. It was a bit cool outside and hence the water was even colder so we didn't go swimming but we did go Kayaking and for a motor boat ride. (Shane red, Jackson Green).
Both Shane and Jackson did great in the kayaks
but at times Jackson got frustrated and gave up, Shane on the other hand went pretty far out. A big shout out and thank you to Alex for going out there with the boys. Shane got a freaked out by the motor on the boat so he ran up the dock screaming and stayed inside while we went on the boat ride.
Deciding if they should go swimming off the dock.....
