This Friday is the boy's birthday and to celebrate they made cupcakes with Trish to bring to school. I can't believe that this starting already. Any how! Daddy joked and said that he was going to eat the cupcakes and Jackson yelled, NO! they are for my friends!
I love how they have friends at school. Today they were dressed in their rain gear going to school and were very busy patting the green and red kitty cat that was under the dining room table.

Weekend
We had a busy weekend and in some ways I"m sad to see it end.
Yesterday was Aunt Dottie and Uncle Bill's 60th wedding anniversary and we were fortunate enough to be invited to the celebration! The boys spent their afternoon looking for dragons and bringing anyone who would listen to them around with them. They had all of the College age kids in search of dragon's and Shane and Jackson made a "house" in the restaurant lobby that they liked to bring people into. Last night, however wasn't so fun. Both boys woke up screaming for their lives around 11pm and they woke daddy up- need I say any more on that subject?
Today was family photos, we went to a park in Wellesley and hopefully we got some good shots. The boys did not nap all weekend and I for one am getting ready for them to go to bed tonight! and get back to work in the morning. At the moment they are out shoveling leaves, yes, they started bringing grocery's into the house and then I looked out the kitchen window and they had their snow shovels and were shoveling the leaves. Last I saw of them they were walking around the block with daddy and the red wagon picking up leaves! Tomorrow is another day.

Circus
Today we went to the cirucs, the Ringling Brothers best show on Earth and wow was it cool. Both Jackson and Shane were amazed by the show, at times it was a bit loud but we had an amazing time. Daddy's favorite part was the motercycles in the cage, mommy liked the tightrope act and Shane and Jackson liked the baby elephants!![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_stb5p2wJhnf-7eTz-QHC_95eb1j3QANBxdJmu33U49Bq9_mXfRFX5aUL-iHPWZBtZwn8HlSRprasgtMzqWZZf0Q_WklwUTiEkuXSImkwwIEVV1Q-LOVm3of53WR5WsLwS9CCvBAg0n=s0-d)
Today was Baby Ryan's second birthday and ELMO came ! Shane and Jackson were a little hesitant at first but then they warmed up to the big ELMO. When Elmo left they continued to ask where was Elmo, is that Elmo's house? and then they wanted to go down stairs to find Elmo. All in all it was a good birthday.

Thunder and lightening
Last night we had a bad storm and it was lightening out when it was time for bed. Jackson asked what was that? I said, lightening, he asked again what is lightening, I told him it is God saying hello. He got up and went to the door and said is God in the hall? Hi God.

Imaginary Friends
Jackson and Shane now have imaginary friends. These friends don't have names (yet) but they go places with them. For example, this morning Shane told me to leave the gate open for his friends and Monkey Joe. Jackson likes to let his friends into their bedroom at night and then this morning both boys were having a picnic with their friends in the living room.

Dear Shane-
My little Shane, you aren't so little any more! In fact next time I write you a letter you will be three years old!
Your smile continues to glow Shane and that makes everyone happy. September was a fun month with lots of activities and play time with Trish and your brother Jackson. With all of this fun, you have had your share of cuts, scrapes and bruises (see above photos). The most recent cut on your forehead- you were hit with a swing while at the park with Nana but you continue to play and have a great time so we are not worried. We had a great time this month at the touch a truck show and while it was a little loud you had a great time climbing into all of the trucks and touching everything. Birthday party season is upon us and you went to the first twin party this year and had a blast! You continue to nap for Trish but for mommy you don't do so well, today was a no nap day and now I realize why you fell asleep so quickly tonight! Mommy is trying to work on bedtime and nap time routines so that you will go to sleep- it isn't going to well as you like to play Lion every night when it is bed time. Your next favorite thing after playing Lion is playing scary monster- you put a bag over your head and walk around the house bumping into things- then after you scare your brother you take the bag off and say- "its o.k. its just me sweetie", it is very cute. You remain obsessed with Calliou and we just received a few Calliou books from amazon so you are enjoying those, sometimes you like to just sit quietly and read books and today in your overalls you were too cute to watch!
Next time I write, you will be three! My baby is growing up and I love you more and more every day. You started school this month and seem to be enjoying it a great deal, you have made some new friends and that is wonderful.
I love you Shane Kilday, you are mommy's sun, moon and stars.
Love- Mommy

Dear Jackson-
This is the last letter I will write you while you are two years old, next month you will be three years old! I can't believe it, as it seems like just yesterday you were born. You have had a good month, September was a warm sunny month so you spent lots of time out side playing.
We went apple picking one fall weekend, and while we didn't pick any apples you and your brother had a great time playing at the petting zoo and the kids area. You went to your first birthday party of the season- your buddies Aoeden and Quinn also turned three this month. And of course you have had daily fun with Trish. And how could I forget school? You started school at the Belmont Cooperative Nursery School and so far you seem to love it! You go twice per week for just a few hours but you have made new friends and are learning new things each day. Your favorite book remains the balloon book and Calliou is a close second. You love to read stories and sit on mommy's lap before bed.
Your language is coming along beautifully and your vocabulary grows every day. You love to help mommy and daddy do anything and you and your brother remain pretty inseparable. You and Shane will play pirates, store, bob the builder and if Shane isn't right there beside you, you will ask: "Where Shane?, where Shane mommy". It is wonderful to see you grow and flourish into your own individuals as well. Jackson, you are getting to be a bit bossy at times and you like to tell Shane what to do as well as other kids on the playground. In fact just yesterday we were at the new Wellington School playground and you met an 8th grader and you had her chasing you all over the playground! Above is a photo of you going down the fire pole by yourself at the playground.
I love you Jackson Reid, you are mommy's sun, moon and stars.
