Sick kids and head injuries
Mommy had an interesting weekend with you boys. Saturday we were going to the MFA for a LITTLE while with Nana. Jackson woke up tired but no fever, we got to the museum and Blah- Puke, Jackson got sick. He seemed better after that so we went into the museum for a little while. The boys didn't like the fact that they couldn't run around but they did enjoy looking at the pictures of Pirate Ships! Here is Watson and the Shark - they talked about and looked at this one for a while. In the America's section there were a lot of big paintings with horses so Jackson liked those and lots of ships- of course they were pirate ships! Jackson didn't get sick again in the museum (thankfully)- can you imagine a kid projectile vomiting all over artwork =i dont' even want to think about it! but he did get sick two more times on the ride home and at home- he slept the afternoon.
Sunday we saw Elmo and friends.
Before the show the boys were running around and Shane smashed his head into the corner of a concrete wall and of course there was blood all over the place! It looked worse than it seemed and we went to the first aide station and they did not think it needed stitches- THANK GOD! we then watched the show and Jackson tried to give all of the characters high fives- in fact when Ernie was coming down the Isle- Jackson yelled and put his hand up, hey Ernie- high five! It was a good time (less the accident).

Getting daddy's boots: Daddy forgot his boots this morning so he yelled up the stairs (like he does every morning) for the boots. Usually, the boys fight over who will get him what he needs, a hat, a phone, keys etc. So today Shane got the boots, he carried them for a little while and then said that they were "Too heavy" and gave them to me. Jackson came running into the kitchen and said, "I'm strong, i'll take them" and brought them to daddy. Both boys subsequenly watched Daddy put out the trash and yelled his name the entire 10 minutes he was putting the trash out.
Children's museum-Shane not coming into the bathroom but great time. lots of treats- cookies but they opted for the fruit. Went solo with the boys

uncle Chris comes to visit
Uncle Chris came to visit last night and had supper with us. When I told the boys that he was coming they asked why (of course) and then asked how he was coming- I told them an airplane from Ohio- then Shane got a huge smile on his face and said "My cousins, my cousins are coming? Zach is coming?" He yelled to Jackson, "Jackson my cousins are coming!". They were disappointed when i told them that it was just Uncle Chris but they had a great time with him regardless.
Above is a photo of Jackson (orange shirt) watching a video from Auntie Chris- Jackson was actually talking to the video- when she asked a question, Jackson would answer the question into the video and he watched it a few times.
Jackson wearing his helmet and riding his scooter! Both Jackson and Shane love thier helmets and scooters.
Safety first in our neighborhood.

Drumlin Farm
Cheese! The boys have a great visit at Drumlin Farm- we saw the babby animals and did LOTS of digging in the garden. Jackson is in the red jacket, Shane in blue.
Jackson is infactuated with horses of late and so he was very excited to see and listed to this horse.
Shane prefered to ride the play horse in the barn. Shane and Jackson brushed horse hair, milked cows and did lots of other pretend activities in the barn.

saturday at the park
After a very disruptive music class we went to the park to play- we mainly played Rocket Ship. Jackson is in the red jacket (with the black eye) and shane is in the blue jacket. We had cold weather but a few days later it was 90 degrees!
photos with easter bunny
We waited in line at the Woburn mall to see the Easter bunny. Both boys were very excited to see the bunny but when we finally got our turn to takea picture with the bunny the boys wanted nothing to do with her, so Mommy got into the picture. After easter bunny photos we went to McDonalds for lunch and had a great time before we went to Drumlin. It was a busy day!

Scooters- pictures to follow
Today was a big day, after lunch and the park with Grandpa Daddy bought Shane and Jackson scooters! and new helmets. The boys wore their helmets ALL DAY- through stores, out for ice cream and of course on their scooters. They looked adorable and are doing great on the scooters.
At the park they let the other kids try the scooters and share their snack and they came home full of energy at 6pm and are in dire need of another bath because they are so cute and dirty!

Downtown Boston- Saturday fun
We had an exciting Saturday this week. We started off with music lessons (which didn't go so well)- Shane threw a drum stick across the room, Jackson broke a bell and in between that they wrestled and bit each other- oh joy joy. The teacher was not very happy with mommy on that one. After class we threw rocks in the stream and went to the park where we played rocket ship! Rocket ship is a very special game, mommy has to sit just so in special place while the boys take off and land the rocket ship. But then after that, we picked up daddy and went to the Big Apple Circus!
We had FRONT row seats and the boys were in awe of everything. Jackson is really getting into horses for some reason and he couldn't wait to see the horses and they were right in front of our eyes! He loved it! We saw clowns, dogs, acrobats, it was great. Daddy got sucked into the souvenir stand and bought the boys each a plastic sword- come on really? Yes, a sword- don't even get me started!
After the circus we walked around Fanuel Hall- the boys sat and waited for balloon hats and we watched street performers and had a great day!
