Crazy Hair day for School Spirit

Today was Wellington School's first School Spirit day the kids got to do crazy hair dues.
Shane wanted a Mohawk (as seen above). he was very excited for the hair spray today and to get his hair done by Barbara. Shane also got to wear his PJs to school today since his class filled their jar of good deeds!

Mommy's friends

Mommy had her friends from elementary school over for a fancy brunch. Above: Cara, Mommy, Melissa, Cheryl, Kim and Jen. It was a great time!

Getting ready for the Big S

It was Jackson's turn to put Santa up this year. Above Jackson and Nana decorate the tree.

Shane climbs the ladder and tries to put Santa up on his own! We got our tree from the Lion's club like we do every year- this year the boys were strong enough to carry the measuring stick from the Lion's club around searching for the biggest tree- they were literally yelling we want an 8 or 9 footer! I think our tree this year is about 8.5-9 feet tall!

December 2014

Shane and Jackson sitting at the island drawing.
Both Shane and Jackson have been sending some some great school work. Above Jackson drew a picture "all about Jackson"
Mommy helps out at the school library- above is Jackson helping me check books out.
We had our first visit from the tooth fairy to Payson Rd. Jackson and Shane were wrestling and Jackson's two front bottom teeth were pulled out. Yes, there was a fair amount of blood and some tears but all in all Jackson was pretty happy. He got 4 gold dollar coins from the tooth fairy and he shared them with Shane. A week or so later the bottom teeth are starting to pop through the empty holes left from the baby teeth.

An art project that came home during thanksgiving- Mom and Dad- Love your little turkey!

Jackson's family picture- there are 4 people in my family.
Some more art work by Jackson.

Shane has been working hard on sight words- above he writes some of them out.

MFA Art lessons

We continue to take art lessons at the MFA. Shane and Jackson have made friends with a little boy named Jerry. Jerry has a lot of energy and takes the pressure off  us with Shane and Jackson. This art class we visited the new airplane and train exhibit and then with clay we made our own airplane. All three boys- Jerry, Shane and Jackson wanted to work together on the project so we made 1 plane for all 3 boys. Let's see how it dries and who gets to take it home (hopefully we do)!
Drawing our sketches in the gallery.
Jackson worked very hard at creating the airplane base.
 Shane and Jerry goof around.
Shane didn't like getting his hands dirty so he more or less drew pictures while Jackson and Jerry made the airplane.

Wellington School

Mommy helps out at the Wellington School library for both Jackson's Brown Bear Class and Shane's Purple Cat's class. Here is Shane helping Mommy with the book markers.
Jackson's picture in a book that the class made and was sent home for one night to review.

Thanksgiving 2014- Mt. Washington Hotel

We had an AMAZING time at the Mountains this past weekend!
After the 6 hours it took to get to NH from Belmont we finally arrived in the Mountains and at the hotel. Jackson was very talkative on the drive up and wanted to know every 5 minutes how much longer it would take to get there. It was a LONG trip due to the snow, freezing roads and poor conditions overall.

Daddy took the silver car up to the Mountains b/c with all of our luggage and Nana we would not fit into 1 vehicle. We had a great corner room with a fireplace and the boys could run down the  LONG hallway to find Nana in room 230.

Thursday which was Turkey Day was lots of fun. We had breakfast and learned all about the dragons that live at the hotel! Thanksgiving dinner was a HUGE buffet so there was plenty of options for everyone. We went swimming in the indoor pool ( many times) and b/c there was fresh snow on the ground we went sledding many time! Daddy got some ski pants so we was nice and comfy out in the snow.  We did so much stuff.... on Thanksgiving day we went for a horse drawn sleigh ride with Ralph the horse- it was cold but awesome!!!

One night mommy and daddy went to the Bretton Arms Inn for dinner to celebrate our 12 year anniversary and we had a window seat and it was like something out of a movie- Ralph the horse kept going by with the sleigh and you could hear his bells jingling!!!!! Every night the Big S. as the boys like to call him (Santa Claus) read stories by the fireplace and it was just wonderful.

On Saturday Shane and Jackson had Ski lessons and then we went Snow Dog Mushing!!!!!! We drove off the resort to a rescue dog shelter- Muddy Paws Rescue. There are 125 dogs there and they pull sleds just like you see in the movies. Daddy and Shane were in one sled- Shane got to drive!!! Mommy and Jackson were in another sled- our driver West- had only driven the dogs and sled once before so there was no driving for us. And Nana had her own sled- it was AMAZING!!! We got to help harness the dogs, feed the dogs and go for a ride. The set up there was very rustic but none the less, awesome!!!! I think it was the highlight of the trip.

Of course, no adventure to the Mt. Washington hotel would be complete without roasting marshmellows and making samores- so we did that a few times as well.
Pictures to follow. Happy Thanksgiving 2014- we have LOTS and LOTS to be thankful for this year!!!!!

November 2014 misc. photos and updates

We have been busy here at the Bryant household! And mommy is behind on her blogging so here is a series of photos from the last month. We have had fun (begging for candy on halloween), culture (ballet, symphony) and solo time with mommy and daddy!

We had family photos done this fall- Shane in Green, Jackson in Grey- here are my smiling boys!

Jackson's Brown Bear class celebrated Veteran's day in school- Jackson is in the back row 4th from the right.
We went to hear Peter and the Wolf at symphony hall. Here is Shane with his glasses and waiting for Nana to join us.

Shane was an astronaut for Halloween- getting candy from a mystery person!

We got harmonica's at symphony and both Shane and Jackson had a grande time playing them around the city. They sat outside Symphony playing them for a long while and even entertained some guests outside of Panera Bread where we had lunch!
Jackson and Daddy went for some special solo time one morning before art classes so Shane and I hung out at home. We made cookies, played on the harmonica's and played with the new pogo sticks that Barbara gave them for their birthday! That same day after art lessons, we took the training wheels off their bikes and they did a great job riding the bikes! They are big boys now, no more little babies in this house :-(

Jackson was optimus prime for Halloween and he met another Transformer while we were tick or treating in cushing square.

Shane left, Jackson right at Symphony Hall.

Jackson and Shane had school on their actual 6th birthday so they got to wear a birthday crown all day at school, Jackson even wore his to Friendly's that night for dinner!

Shane and Mommy playing outside- here is a little selfie with my boy.
                                  Shane left, Jackson Right.
