Wolf Pack 384

Cub Scouts started last night, the boys are members of the Wolf Pack 384 in Belmont. Jackson was very excited and had a spring in his step as he ran out the door ( Jackson top photo with hat). Shane, not so much..... Shane was concerned that he wouldn't know how to build a car or light a fire, when i told him that was the reason to join was to learn.... he cried and wanted to me to come with. Daddy took the boys but I guess mom's are invited so maybe the next time. Both boys came home all smiles and had fun, Daddy said it was complete craziness and the boys just ran around. None the less, i think it is good for them and I'm sure they will enjoy it moving forward.

Weekend Drivers Wanted

And so the weekend schedules begin..... Saturday's are dedicated pretty much to soccer and Sunday's are art classes and Einstein's Workshop. This weekend was no different. We had the 8:30 am soccer game against the royal blue team and we won! Both Shane and Jackson played goal and did a great job. Mommy lost her favorite necklace in the whole wide world- the necklace daddy gave her when the boys were born. Mommy went back to the park and searched, called the police and posted on line but no luck- i think it is gone....:-(

I guess they made 9 dollars? Pretty good - it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and Braiden lives on the corner so perfect location.

The rest of the day was nerf gun fights! Andy made it out for some of them. Then they connected with Zach and played remote video games with Zach in Ohio- Keith said it was crazy! 

Mommy got the boy scout uniforms, which starts tonight.

Sunday- Daddy had to work so Mommy did art lessons and Einstein's WS.

Pizza Party!

The last day of summer vacation.... we had plans to go to the Launch trampoline park.... but it was closed. What were we going to do on a cold and rainy day? Andy and Braiden came over to watch a movie, complete with popcorn and followed by a pizza party.  Above- Jackson obsessed with his new nerf gun that causes nothing but trouble; Braiden, Shane and Andy.

Second Grade here we come

Mommy and Daddy were sad to see this day come, they will be 8 years old in just a few weeks. But at least mommy is looking forward to school being back in session. We love you boys! You are mommy's sun, moon and stars. We wish you nothing but the best and success in the second grade!

Weekend Report

We had a good weekend, Daddy had to work at CIC so it was mommy time.
The normal swimming at the pool and playing at the park and yesterday we took a ride over to Nana's house. Jackson was watering the garden and got stung by a bee. Oh the drama! Jackson was screaming ( I know a bee sting can hurt) and came running into the house we put ice on the sting and it seemed to resolve. When we got home to Belmont the drama continued and Jackson went to bed (6 hours later) with ice on his ankle. He was back and forth between tears and conversation. At one point he said, I don't like those evil bees. I wish butterflies could pollinate the plants instead! Those evil bees, I'm never going to water Nana's plants again". Jackson ended up sleeping with mommy and horsey and snowball and the pictures of the horse farm and this morning all was well with the world and the sting was gone.

This morning the boys were magicians and playing card games, coin games and ring games. It was cute to see them playing and being excited about play. No electronics in the morning!
School starts next Wed for our second graders Shane and Jackson.

Keith was trying to be a good semaratin this am and help what he thought was a racoon with a cup over its head. But when he removed the cup....it was a skunk!!! Looks like we will buy lots of tomato juice today😅

Joey's Park never disappoints

We had a fun day at Joey's park with Andy. That park never disappoints. the boys brought their nerf guns and were hunting for dinosaurs all day :-) Even though they are rising second graders and seven years old, they still love the tire swing.

We concluded the day playing the slip and slide at Andy's house. Great weekend, we also visited with Uncle Adam and Dave as well as a fun trip to Essex to visit Charlotte, Ted & Alex. We went for a boat ride and the boys went kyaking; it was a great day.

weekend update

 We had a great weekend, above Zach and Jackson in Ohio. This weekend we stayed local where it was a cool, and visited the Museum of Science and them on Sunday we visited Trish and went swimming at the pool..

 Friday after camp the boys and Daddy visited Comic Con at the had a blast!!!

Growing up too fast

Shane and Jackson are growing up too fast!
They no longer want my help in the bath, in fact they take showers now and wash their own hair. They don't want my help drying off from the shower- they can do it themselves!

Shane lost a tooth the other day and both of them decided that it would be a good idea to put video cameras in their room so that they could tape the tooth fairy and oh yeah! let's put one in the living room so we can tape Santa coming down the Chimney.

Shane also decided that he was NOT going to put his tooth under his pillow, he wanted to see if the tooth fairy would still come if he left it on the night stand.

Ohio Cousin Time- August 2016

 We had a great weekend visiting our cousins in Ohio. We opted out of the 13 hour drive and flew. Luckily we got home safe and sound before Delta airlines' computers shut down and cancelled all of their flights for 2 days! Here we are preparing to get on the airplane- and selfies with mommy.  We went rock climbing and played basketball at the Community Center. Shane climbed all the way to the top, Jackson made it half way. Basketball was great!

 The B Ball Boys. Shane, Jackson and Zach. Jackson was getting frustrated b/c Shane could get some baskets and do some tricks, but Shane was trying VERY Hard and did not give up. Jackson on the other hand, gave up pretty easily but when he finally put his mind to it, he was dribbling and getting some baskets as well.

 After dinner one night we made Somore's over the camp fire. Here is Auntie teaching Shane how to make a fire and below the boys roasting the marshmellows.  I think they just liked roasting the marshmellows rather than actually eating the Somore.

 The golf course! Shane lost about 5 red balls, here he is climbing one of the structures on the golf course to find his ball. Many got stuck under the house and then he lost some in the river as well. No worries, they were still happy. Shane and Jackson were rushing ahead while Zach and Daddy played a competitive game of mini golf. Zach won (barely).

What trip to Ohio would be complete without a trip to Grader's Icecream. Zach and Jackson.
