New Years Eve 2015

We rang in the New Year with fun and family. We spent New Years Eve day out and about. We got our first snowfall of the season which then turned to rain which then turned to ice. So while the sun was shining on Dec. 31, 2015 outside was a muddy mess! Like everyone else we took to the indoors. Shane, Jackson and Mommy visited the Harvard Museum of Natural History- it had been a while since we had been there and I think the boys really enjoyed it. Of course, all they wanted to see was dinosaur bones and we saw some! I let the boys take my camera and here are the results. Well some of the photos mommy took- and some the boys took. Jackson is in the orange, Shane striped shirt.

After the museum, we went to the Indoor Play Gym (like the rest of the world) and then went to Panera Bread for lunch. Mommy day was successful! In the afternoon we played "hockey" in the backyard on the ice and then broke out the microscope the boys got for Christmas and did some science!
Jackson took a special liking to the microscope and Mommy tapped into her old biology skills and we started making our own slides using food coloring for the stains. We made some hypothesis and kept  a science journal: the Blue slide was saliva, we also looked at Candy, Fur from snowball and Jackson's tatoo.

We closed out the New Year with Chinese Food from Jimmy's; Nana came over and we watched the Original Star Wars Movie. Happy 2015 and new 2016!
