Grandma and Nanna Fridays

Fridays at the Bryant house are for Grandma and Nana. Grandma Nancy comes in the morning and Nana Sue comes in the afternoon. Today it is snowing so Grandma wore her hat and winter coat- which meant her keys were in the coat pocket. It didn't take Jackson more than a few minutes (walking around with one shoe) to find Grandma's jacket and pull it to the floor. When the keys fell out he was excited and started yelling! Shane was right behind him- but keys are for emergency situations because 1. the boys love playing with them 2. it calms them down and 3. they open all the doors to Grandma's car! So the keys will have to wait but in the meantime the boys wore Grandma's hat.

Jackson likes to feel people's faces so he has started to poke you in the eye- he likes the squishy feel and then the nose- but he only likes the nose when a nose makes noise- so be prepared if you play with Jackson and he touches your nose - it needs to beep :-)

Mommy's first trip to the park with us solo

Spring is here and I thought that I would take the boys to the playground- no big deal, I've done it before. What I forgot was that on previous trips to the playground the boys really weren't walking and now that they are walking it is a different experience. We tied snowball to the tree and he sat there like he always does- yelping and the boys played in the swings-life is grande. When we finished with the swings, things got interesting. Shane decided to climb UP the slide not up the stairs and then of course he would fall half way up- when we finally got to using the stairs- he didn't like the concept of sitting to go down the slide- he wanted to go head first- and he laughed the whole way down- so we continue to practice how to properly go down the slide and I thought he understood- you sit on your bottom to go down the slide- goal accomplished! I turn around to look for Jackson to find him in the middle of a girls lacrose game! The girls all stop and watch Jackson wander through the game. I run to pick up Jackson and in the 30 seconds we are gone i find shane taking a header down the slide again! Shane thinks it is funny and just laughs. So this was my first introduction to taking two toddlers to the park, we had fun and I did it again the next day.

Here js a picture of me and my boys- Jackson is holding the book, Shane is on the right and snowball is next to us all! Life is good.

Our dog Snowball

We have a mini poodle named snowball and we love him! Snowball immediately took to the boys and when the first came home from the hospital he slept in the doorway to their room. Now that the boys are mobile snowball likes to lick their faces as much as possible and play with them. Snowball brings Shane and Jackson lots of joy- especially when it comes to snowball's toy- cow. The boys love to take cow and torment snowball with cow- here are some photos of Shane, Jackson and snowball running away from them.

Children's Museum

We had our first visit to the Children's Museum Today. Jackson loved playing with the train set and ringing the doorbell in a kids house; Shane loved the little slide. We had fun and they were tired to say the least on the way home.

Jackson and his hat

Jackson loves wearing hats in the house, especially daddy's work hats. He loves to pull the hat down over his eyes and then bump into things? Seriuosly, he likes to do that.

We might look like minature zombies, but we are walking!

Snowball

We have a dog named snowball and he has a toy cow that he loves! Shane and Jackson have taken to steeling and crawling away with cow- leaving Snowball alone on the couch. Needless to say, Snowball wants his cow back so he chases the boys. And then it begins, the boys pull cow away from Snowball and they go back and forth laughing and laughing until finally Snowball gets cow back and returns to his place on the couch.

Our mommy rarely dresses us alike, except for special occassions and last week was one of those days- Auntie came to visit! We showed Auntie our favorite toys and puzzles and how we push each other and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Eating Breakfast

I came down stairs this morning to find the boys eating breakfast as normal but something was different. Shane was facing the wall- when I aksed why? He was spitting his food out! Not my little Shane I said and he turned his head and smiled at me.

Walking

The boys have started to walk and they look like little zombies at times as they move through the house. They love walking and are very proud of themselves when they make it across the room.
