Mug Shots at Payson Park

We went to Payson Park the other day- the boys told me that the park is for babies and that they wanted to go to Joey's park in stead, but since we just were at Joey's park in the am we went to Payson. Here they are looking very happy to be at Payson :-)

 Jackson on the round thing.

Shane looking very happy to get his photo taken...

Memorial Day 2015

We spent Memorial Day with the Cardinelli's as we always do. Since our patio is torn up, Michelle offered to have us over to their house. Here are the kids at the Malden Parade- Jason and CarolAnne in the back (Looking very excited to be with us). Jackson, Shane and Ryan waving flags in the front row. Cute parade in Malden then we went back to Everett for a pool party and BBQ. The boys had a blast- they brought over water guns, and water balloon making materials and it was water fun all around. Uncle Larry got thrown into the pool once or twice as well.

Note to my boys- May 2015

Dear Shane and Jackson-
I just feel compelled to write this down- I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IT HURTS SOMETIMES!
You are both growing up so fast and I see it every day.
Yesterday when I came home you had on your Boston Red Sox Hooded Towels- you were Jedi Nights and you had your light sabers tucked in your pants. SO CUTE I couldn't stand it. You wouldn't let me take a picture but time is going by so fast I can't believe it.

At dinner, we have actual conversations (well sort of) about school and activities and then in the next moment you are both still fighting for my lap and mommy snuggles! Last night Jackson did a backwards somersault- I thnk it was a fluke- you were on the bed goofing around but it was still really cool and Shane loved it as well.

Shane is doing great- we got clearence from the Neurosurgeon to start doing light activity and the hand doctor said the fingers are good to go! We go to the brain clinic next week.

Just wanted to put it in writing for you how much you both mean to me and how much joy you bring me!!!! I love you so much I can't even express it- you are mommy's sun, moon and stars, that means you are the world to mommy.

Love always-
Mommy

Jackson and Shane playing Labryinth, notice the hair sticking up- this was pre-hair cut.

Jackson and Shane helping mommy weed the garden beds. Both boys were very excited to help Mommy weed and pull stuff out of the ground. They even wore their bike gloves so their hands would not get dirty.
Mommy spoke at an International Clinical Research Conference in Boston and met up with her friend Karen from Quintiles. Here is Mommy and Karen taking a selfie- we posted this photo to Facebook and all of our old friends from Quintiles connected with us.
Shane, climbing a tree as usual. Here he is with Gabriel- Gabriel is hoping the fence while Shane is already standing on top.
Mornings are mommy time. Mommy drinks her coffee and we play games, talk and hang out. The boys got Jr. Monopoly for Christmas and they love collecting the money, we play an abbreviated version of monopoly- basically just handing out money. But I do have to say that both Shane and Jackson are getting good at counting- adding and subtracting. Jackson especially- he can count by 10s to 100.
On the play structure at Joey's park. (This was pre-concussion for Shane)
Uncle Adam, Bailey and Uncle Dave at their home in Boston right before they moved to London.
Jackson sporting his new bike helmet and riding his old bike. I think it is going to take a while for everyone to get comfortable again riding their bikes.

Cleaning Daddy's truck with the water gun.
Smiley Shane- always happy in a tree.

Misc. Updates May 2015

Jackson Mahdavi and Shane at Joey's park- Winter 2015
 Our lovely snowball
Shane (Left) & Jackson Right- watching the iPAD. While mommy was away on business last week Jackson wasn't listening very well so he lost "his picks". Shane was in his glory b/c he got to pick the movie on Sat. morning to watch. But i thought this was a lovely moment, Jackson looking over his shoulder- they are getting so big!

Playing GO FISH with Any from around the corner
 Smiley Shane
Auntie Kristen, Mommy's Grandma Larson and Mommy- Mommy must have been around 6 years old b/c I had NO FRONT TEETH!

Nice weather means water fights!

As soon as the nice weather came the boys were out there with their water guns. Here is Shane filling up the gun to squirt Jackson and also wash Daddy's truck.

Mother's Day 2015

A card from Shane- he made this in school: I love Mom because: She is pretty
She is beautiful and I'm not to certain what the last one says. Shane is spelling words as they sounds so sometimes it is difficult to make out the word. But I love it none the less. On Mother's day- Shane and Jackson EACH gave me flowers and a great card, that they signed themselves.
After his fall, Shane has taken to riding the scooter and Jackson is back on the little bike for a while.
I think we are nearing the end of our fort days....  but the boys still love to make them any time a big box comes through the house. I remember when the boys were small enough to fit in the toy bin containers- not any more!
This is Jackson on the tire swing at Joeys Park. one day he loved that thing and just lounged on it all day.
A park in the South End near Uncle Adam's house. We had a ROUGH winter but it sure looked pretty.
Friendly's after a soccer game. Jackson left, Shane Right
Mommy and Snowball.

Signs of Spring

Mommy and Shane Selfie- May 2015. The first really nice weekend!
We were the hang out house this weekend. Here are Jackson, Eric, Derek and Shane trading Pokey Man cards in the driveway.
Remote control trucks- the boys just got a hair cut and got their hair dyed red!

Basketball at Wellington- this was one of the nicer days this spring when we could play outside. The boys love to play basketball there!

The first flowers in the garden, April 2015- Jackson took the photo.

Jackson's Art Work

While Shane was in the Hospital, Jackson went to Habitat camp Here are some pictures from Jackson's Nature journal:
Picture of a Red Worm above and below: a tree with a bird.

Jackson spent an entire morning making glitter glue pictures.
What is worth to you more than Gold? Jackson's response was Mommy & Shane and I'm not sure what the third word is.

The New England Aquarium brought the tide pool exhibit to the Wellington School. Both the Brown Bears and the Purple Cats got to see it. Above is Jackson's picture from Aquarium Day: My favorite part of the aquarium was: "I Got to hold a Hermit Crab and something about Water". I liked it because: Horshoe crabs live.....And the bottom piece in blue is a picture of the hermit crab.

Easter Egg Hunts 2015

This year we went to the Annual Belmont Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Weekend, April 2015. It was still pretty cold out and while most of the snow was melted the fields were pretty muddy. We had a low key Easter Sunday- we went to church- just mommy and the boys and then Nana came over for dinner. Uncle Adam and Uncle Dave have moved to London for 3 years so it was just us, low key but fun none the less!

Jackson and the Easter Bunny- notice Jackson has no bottom teeth!
