Shane's Great Fall

We have had a crazy few weeks here. Mommy has been traveling a lot for work and on a recent trip to California to visit Cousin Baby Reid Shane took a massive tumble off his bike. Actually it was more than a tumble....Both Jackson and Shane got new big boy bikes this year (no training wheels) and they were coming down Lawndale the side street and we think Shane must have used the hand breaks too firmly and he flipped over the handle bars. He was wearing a helmet but he was knocked unconscious and it resulted in a broken nose, a few broken fingers, cuts all over his face and 2 concussions with blood on his brain in 2 spots. Daddy called 911 and Shane spent 5 days (2 of which were in the ICU) at Children's Hospital Boston. IT WAS SCARY!!!! Shane is on activity restrictions until we  see the Neuro team on the 18th of May again and Jackson is a little leery of riding his big bike. When I asked Jackson about riding his new bike- he said Mommy- "Remember Shane" I'm not riding the bike.... Jackson has since referred to Shane's accident as Shane's Great Fall. Scary Stuff!!! He is doing well and is on the mend.
